Kuala Lumpur: Organized by iMe Malaysia, the “82MAJOR ASIA FANMEETING IN KUALA LUMPUR“ took place on February 16 at SEGI University, Kota Damansara. Members Seongil, Yechan, Seongmo, Seongbin, Seokjoon, and Dogyun kicked off the event with powerful performances of their debut tracks “FIRST CLASS” and “CHOKE,” sending fans into a frenzy with their impressive dance moves.
Korean rising boy group 82MAJOR made their debut visit to Malaysia for a fan meeting, drawing a crowd of 600 passionate fans from Malaysia and abroad! Besides performing their hit tracks, the six-member group also engaged in fun-filled interactions, showing their love for fans by sweetly saying, “Sayang, Aku Cinta Padamu!”
The group warmly greeted their Malaysian fans in fluent Malay, expressing their excitement: “This is our first time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We’re so happy to meet everyone!” and even in Malay, “Saya sangat gembira berada di Malaysia!” Seizing the opportunity to interact with fans, leader Seongil playfully charmed them with “Sayang, Aku Cinta Padamu!”
During the fan meeting, 82MAJOR shared fun facts about each other. They revealed that Seokjoon struggles on waking up, with members jokingly saying, “Seokjoon finds it really hard to wake up. Sometimes, he doesn’t even hear the alarm!” When asked who forgets choreography the most, all fingers pointed at Seongbin. “Actually, he’s great at dancing, but he takes a bit longer to catch up because his learning style is different from us. But that’s okay, he’s adorable, and we love him for that!”
Fashion was also a hot topic, with the group praising Yechan’s airport fashion, agreeing that his stylish outfit upon arrival in Malaysia was a standout. “Yechan has a great figure, so everything looks good on him! Seongmo’s fashion sense is also really good!” They also teased that Dogyun, who used to be quiet, has recently become more humorous: “Maybe it’s because he has grown up—he started telling jokes now!”
A special “Message Reading” session was arranged by iMe MY, where 82MAJOR read messages from fans. One fan requested the members to show off their newly learned Malay phrases, prompting them to say “Sayang, saya sayang kamu semua!” The highlight of the segment was when Yechan mistakenly said “Saya sedap” (I am sexy) instead of “Sangat sedap” (very delicious), sending the audience into fits of laughter!
In addition on trying out Malay phrases, 82MAJOR delighted fans with special interactions. Each member selected a lucky fan to join them on stage for a photo, making others envious of the special moment! They were also touched by the fans’ coordinated effort to wear pink outfits, creating a visually stunning “pink ocean.” Moved by the sight, they expressed their gratitude: “This entire pink-filled scene is so beautiful. We will remember this moment forever!”
Ending the event on a high note, 82MAJOR promised to return soon, hinting at their upcoming album: “We are preparing for our third album. We will be back soon to meet you all. Kita Janji!”
