Father of navy cadet Soosaimanicckam wants Bukit Aman to launch murder probe after court ruled death was homicide

PETALING JAYA, Aug 1 — The father of J. Soosaimanicckam filed a report today in a bid to compel the police to act on Monday’s High Court ruling that declared his son’s death as homicide.

Joseph Sinnappan said he wants the authorities to open a murder investigation and that the probe be conducted by officers from the federal police force.

His lawyer, N Surendran and Zaid Malek, said roping in Bukit Aman was necessary given the severity of the case.

Sinnappan filed the report at the Petaling Jaya district headquarters here, accompanied by three lawyers.
